Sun-Kissed Custom Haircolor with the LG CHI Color Master Factory

Formula 1 – The Root Formula

To create the perfect sun-kissed custom haircolor, start with Formula 1:

  • Mix 1 oz of 5CM with 1 oz of 5W.
  • Add 1 shot of Orange Additive.
  • Combine with 2 oz of 10 Volume developer.

Application Process: Roots

  1. Before applying the root formulation, generously mist each section with Royal Treatment Bond & Seal for added strength.
  2. Start applying the root formula from the crown, then move to the center and nape, using a feathered brushing technique for a seamless blend at the roots down to 4 inches along the hair shaft.

Formula 2 – The Mid-Shaft Blend

For a seamless transition, we move on to Formula 2:

  • Mix 2 oz of 9W with 3 shots of Red Additive and 2 shots of Violet Additive.
  • Combine with 2 oz of 10 Volume developer.

Application Process: Mid-Shaft

  1. Before applying the next formula, once again, mist each section with Royal Treatment Bond & Seal.
  2. Begin by applying the 2nd formula to the front two sections of the hair. Then use a detangling brush to blend the first and second formulas together.

Formula 3 – Finishing the Look

To complete the sun-kissed look, we have Formula 3:

  • Mix 2 oz of 9W with 2 oz of 8C.
  • Add 4 oz of 10 Volume developer.

Application Process: Finishing Touches

  1. Start at the back of the head, taking 1-inch sections, and apply the 3rd formula to the mid-shaft of the hair, leaving the ends in their natural color. Use a detangling brush for a seamless blend.
  2. Continue alternating between Formula 2 and Formula 3 for the rest of the hair to achieve a natural, sun-kissed look.

Processing

Allow the custom haircolor to process for 40 minutes to achieve the desired depth and vibrancy.

Rinsing and Shampooing:

  1. Rinse the formula out with cool water to lock in the vibrancy of the color.
  2. Shampoo the hair using Royal Treatment Color Gloss: Color Protecting Shampoo to ensure long-lasting results.
  3. Condition the hair with Royal Treatment Color Gloss: Color Protecting Conditioner for added moisture and shine.

Heat Protection:

Prior to styling and applying heat to the client’s hair, evenly mist the entire hair with Royal Treatment Royal Guard to safeguard it from heat damage.

Styling

  1. Apply Royal Treatment Blow Out Primer to protect the hair during the blow-drying process.
  2. Use the CHI Lava dryer for precise and efficient blow-drying.
  3. Complete the styling with the CHI Lava ½-inch Curling Iron for natural, beachy waves.
  4. Set and complete the sun-kissed color with Royal Treatment Ultimate Control Hair Spray for hold and Pearl Complex for a stunning finish that enhances shine and texture.
