After an initial donation of $1 million worth of CHI Organic Gardens Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer to the City of Houston, Farouk Systems, Inc. is continuing to make an impact on the global health threat of COVID-19.
The Texas-based haircare company recently made another donation to the City of Houston that included 7,500 CHI KN95 Protective Masks, 7,500 CHI Surgical Masks, four 50 gallon drums of CHI Organic Gardens Hand Sanitizer and 1,600 shampoos and conditioners.
“We are ready to serve our community,” said Farouk Shami, Founder and Chairman of Farouk Systems, Inc. “[…] We are ready to provide what the market needs so we can save lives.”
The donation announcement of the FDA-approved hand sanitizer and specialized masks was given at a news conference held by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner at City Hall. The Houston Mayor announced that the items will be distributed to frontline workers, first responders, and people in adverse communities in an effort to fight the spread of coronavirus.
“Farouk Shami has a history of generously assisting communities,” Turner said. “I thank him on behalf of the City of Houston.”
Farouk Systems, Inc. continues to work diligently to meet the demand and provide millions of hand sanitizer bottles locally and nationally.
“We are working around-the-clock to save our industry, to save the United States of America,” Shami said. “We are united in [the fight against] coronavirus.”
